Upgrade 2003 to MOSS, wss site is now a broken site

Asked By: Dianna Bridges         Date: Jun 10, 2007      Category: MOSS      Views: 255

I performed a In-Place upgrade on a SPS 2003 system to MOSS. I have
82 WSS sites. 10 of these WSS did not migrate to MOSS. 72 made it
just fine. These WSS are not custom edits to the template. I found
these 10 sites by running the scan for broken links from the Site
Directory. Any help as to how i can make these sites non-broken by
pre or post upgrade actions would be appreciated.

Could you elabrate more regarding "broken"? Are they all top leve
sites or some of them were sub sites and could not find any links from
the top level sites?

Have you tried to create links to one of these sites and try to open
it?

Sure. They are all top-level sites. In the site  Directory > Sites
List, each site is that isn't working is assigned "broken" for the
Link Status Column. I attempted following the given links and
creating links to where the site shoulda been, but recieved a 404
error the webpage cannot be found.
