Updateing Documents in a Document Library Issue

Asked By: Lauren    Date: Aug 18    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 778

Our organization is urrently in the process of implementing a SPS
proof of concept. We are cuurently have an issue related to
modifying documents (Word) within a document library.

For our proof of concept we have SPS & WSS set up on single server
environment. We have imported users into the portal from Acitive
Directory utilizing our outlook address book.

Active Directory crosses multiple domains within our Intranet. What
appears to be happening:

Users who are accessing document libraries from within the Corp Domain
(Domain where the SPS & WSS resides) can check out, modify, Save, And
Check in documents just fine.

Users who are accessing the same document library from a domain other
than the Corporate Domain can Check Out Documents, Use the option to
edit with MS Word, but when the document opens, it opens as 'Read
Only" and they can't save the document back into the document library
that it came from.

We also have the same issue when a Corporate Domain user access the
portal via a Citrix connection.

Has anyone ever seen this issue before, if so is it related to SPS or
WSS configuration or do you think it is a Domain Services Issue?
