my update quest abt databases

Asked By: Nagendra    Date: Sep 07    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 524

I have WSS on Windows 2003 Enterprise server in a workgroup environment using
MMSQL 2000 Database Server (all on same machine). Everything was working fine,
until i decided to change the password of the machine (administrator account).
It gives me error 'Unable to get global configuration data' when i browse the
site, and also logged the Error #50070: with Event ID 1000 in the event log.
MSSQL is installed using a separate account and is in a administrators group.
I have created a new application pool from the central Administration pool with
'administrator' as an identity.
Other application pool are running with 'Network Service' identity.
SharePoint Timer service is running under administrator account and is working
fine.
MSSQL server has accounts for both administrator & network service in the
logins.
I have changed the password of admnistrator account and updated it in
application pool & sharepoint timer service.
Now, when i access the central administration tool to and access the 'Set
Configuration Database', i choose to connect to the existing db and it works
fine.
When i access 'Set Content database server', it displays only one option
there..... The name of the Database server Name.
What could be the issue, since it was working fine...
