Update Excel File using Excel Web Service

I have a excel files in a document library. This excel file stores
information related some of the web-sites & document libraries
information. So if there is any change sub-sites/document libraries
then this excel file needs to be updated accordingly. I want to use
Excel Web Service APIs to do the same(as we have restriction using
Excel SDK APIs), please let me know if it is possible to update the
excel files using Excel Web Service? If so how?
