Update Document Library Columns

Asked By: Javon    Date: Mar 26    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1919

I am using the folling element to updatelistitems in a document
library. I keep coming across the error
<ErrorCode>0x81020014</ErrorCode>, "No field was found with that
name." . I have gone through a process of elimination and the only
one that I can get to update is Property. I have done each
individually, shortened up names, removed spaces and nothing works.
Anyone have any ideas?

strElBatch = String.Format("<Method ID='1' Cmd='Update'>" + _
"<Field Name='ID'>{0}</Field>" + _
"<Field Name='FileRef'>{1}</Field>" + _
"<Field Name='Document'>{2}</Field>" + _
"<Field Name='Property'>{3}</Field>" + _
"<Field Name='Profile Category'>{4}</Field>" + _
"<Field Name='Subject x'>{5}</Field>" + _
"<Field Name='Related Building(s)'>{6}</Field>" + _
"<Field Name='Related Contact(s)'>{7}</Field>" + _
"<Field Name='Related Company(s)'>{8}</Field>" + _
"<Field Name='Related Project(s)'>{9}</Field>" + _
"</Method>", Me.m_intDocID, strFileRef,
strDocument_Category, strProperty, strProfile_Category, _
strSubject, strRelated_Buildings,
strRelated_Contacts, strRelated_Companys, strRelated_Projects)

In continuing to root around my handy dandy WSS SDK, I have found
that the Name is autogenerated and as such the only column name that
comes through the same as the DisplayName is "Property", the rest
are modified in the following fashion "Profile_x0020_Category".
However when I substitute the name with the autogenerated name, it
will not accept the new name.
