Uninstall SSRS

Asked By: Noemi    Date: Dec 08    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 2688

I want to uninstall SSRS (SharePoint Integration Mode) and re-Install in Native Mode.

these are the steps that I've taken:

Control Panel > Uninstall a Program > Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (64-bit) > CHANGE
Select the Radio Button "MSSQLSERVER;Analysis Services: Dabase Engine: Reporting Services
Click NEXT
Select Reporting Services then Click NEXT
Click NEXT on the Microsoft SQL Server Installation Wizard
Click Next after System Configuration Check

THen I must choose between "Change Installed Components" and "Remove Microsoft SQL Server"
I'm afraid what will happen if i Press "remove Microsoft SQL Server" - Even though this is a test environment

Indeed the correct action is to press "Remove Microsoft SQL Server"!! There is a very scary message that implies ALL SQL components will be removed from the computer after clicking the "remove" button - but then the uninstall  process shows that only the reporting services components are being removed.

Removing SSRS from a machine is not recommended for those with high blood pressure, pregnant, nursing or prone to panic attacks!
