Undelete tool's setundelete.cmd -- how long does it run?

Asked By: Margarita Harrington         Date: Apr 27, 2010      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 269

I think I posted this a year or so ago, but noone answered. Maybe someone
has some data now. This question is for anyone who's downloaded Microsoft's
Undelete tool and run the setundelete.cmd.

---> Question: How long did it run?

Details: I started the following command about 10 hours ago, and it's still
running

setundelete.cmd "http://srv/workspace/Documents/subfolder" 7 /r

meaning, of course, that I want 7 days of undelete on subfolder and all
subfolders.

subfolder contains 341 files in 122 folders. This is a 4CPU 4GB RAM box
that's pretty well tuned for Sharepoint. My ntpmon (procmon) isn't working
on this system, so I can't look into the process calls and such...

I'm hoping the script isn't fouling up Sharepoint somehow...

I ran that script a long  time ago and I don't remember it running that
long. Memory fails me as too how long it ran, but I think I would have
remember standing in from of the rack for 10 hours...

I have the same problem. Is there any person who solved this undelete  problem,
or installed this function and it worked?
