Unable to connect SQL express database

My orignal SQL express connection is broken and I cannot access using
it sql studio management. I tried to recofnigure using central
administration but it is not working.I have also tried stsadm to
manaully setconfigdb but it not creating the database rather asking me
to change Kerberos setting
