Trying to Install SPS 2001 on windows xp

Trying to Install SPS on windows xp.
Its gives following message and stop installing.

"This product can be installed only on Windows 2000 Server with
Service Pack 1 or higher, or windows 2000 Advanced Server with
Service pack 1 or higher."

I have installed SP1 already.

Like the message says .. you need Windows 2000 server. SPS cannot be
installed on Windows XP.
