Trying to get certain .NET Framework 3.0 dll files

Asked By: Jered    Date: May 04    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 917

I'm working through a project and it requires some of
the .dll files from .NET Framework 3.0 (for example
System.Windows.Data amongst others). I have
downloaded .NET Framework 3.0 Runtime from Microsoft
Update and have downloaded and ran dotnetfx3setup.exe
which I believe is the SDK. Unfortunately, the dll
files I was anticipating aren't showing up in my
c:\windows\assembly folder. What might I be missing
in order to get the dll files specific to .NET 3.0?

I have the .NET Framework 3.0 installed in the default location on
Windows Server 2003. The dll  that I think you are looking for can be
found here:

I actually need System.Windows.Data, not System.Data.
According to MSDN, they are two distinct namespaces.

Sorry, for Web work I've never seen System.Windows.Data.
