Treos and Sharepoint (multiple logon)

We are working on being able to connect to our Sharepoint Server
through a Treo. The Treo has a VPN client (AnthaVPN) for connecting
to our network. The problem is that for each item it downloads from a
subdirectory (/_layouts/) folders (javascript, images) - it's
prompting for a login - around 15 times a page.

Are the credentials just not getting cached? Is this something that
can be fixed on the Sharepoint end?
