Tree View vs Explorer View - Document Modified Date

Asked By: Caitlin Simmons         Date: Jun 27, 2006      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 702

I have a Document Library with versioning turned on. The default view
is a Treeview. Taking one of the documents as an example, it shows a
modified date of 6/30. The doc has now been approved and published. It
has 22 versions, one of which contains the pre-publication checks
completed on 6/25.

Yet the Explorer View (view details) still shows the modified date as
6/2, the same date as version 1. The document has been overwritten
twice since then to my knowledge; once by the pre-pub checks (6/25)
and once by the approved version (6/29).

At first I put this down to the fact that the treeview is showing the
document properties last modified date (i.e. a field may have been
updated). But how can I be sure the document I download using Explorer
View is the approved version?
