Traffic on the SPS server

Asked By: Jenny    Date: Apr 06    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 767

I'm using Frontpage to create forms and forums for sharepoint. I
can't publish them without installing Frontpage Server Extensions on
the server. But my system administrator doesn't want to install that
because of some security-reasons. Can anybody tell me how I could
make those forms function somehow ?

you can't publish  from FrontPage to a sharepoint  Portal server  (you can to
SharePoint Team services). However, I routinely create  ASP pages in

the proper folders on the server, and as long as any references are written

It is not using FP that is the issue; it is the extensions  that need to be on the SPS server. If you were around when SPS first was available via betas and release candidates, many install  issues were answered with a check to see if FP extensions were on the machine.

i think FPSE and SPS do not cooperate at all. It is Sharepioint Team
Services that can be modified by help of FP and of coure FPSE. I am pretty
sure about that. Anybody correct me on that if I'm wrong.
