Top link bars

Asked By: Luz    Date: Aug 02    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1756

Top site has many top link bars which are subsites.
They are almost 80.
How can I manage these top link bars.
Now it shows too much horizontal. I have to scroll and scroll.
Can I adjust it?

Well, if you are good with Designer, I think you can stack them. But
if you don't need all the tabs on the top, you can just delete them but
make sure you select that they will be in the Quick Launch area.

That way, your screen gets longer, not wider.

You could also turn on Publishing in site  features and use the
Navigation option to group them all under tabs as dropdown menus.

As you told, I made subsites  under tabs as dropdown menus.
But It shows  only 50 sites.
I have more then 80 sites.
How can I adjust the number?

The easiest answer would be to split them into multiple tabs based on
particular characteristics (by department, by purpose, whatever). I
don't know that there's a way of changing that length that doesn't
involve either a page hack or some sort of C# solution, but I'm
nowhere near expert on the customization side.
