What tool do you use to develop WebParts?

Just one question
What tool do you use to develop WebParts?

Now I use notepad to modify vbs and dwp.
It's ugly work
What can you advise to make my work more effective?

We just purchased XP Developer...that's probably not a bad idea...it
allows you to create your own workflows (relatively easily) and create
webparts...although i haven't played with that one yet.
