Can anyone explain how that can happen ?

That's nothing. Every once in a while, one specific user of mine gets
notifications from July of 1969. I have no idea where it's coming from
since all machines (servers and clients) are NTP-synced and the file that
it's telling us about was modified 3 months ago or something.
