Title of Discussion Item

Hello,
I'm trying to enter a discussion item in Sharepoint's Discussion Board. And I cannot figure out how to enter the title. I click new -> discussion. A window is displayed with the header Team Discussion: New Item. Then there is a box below where I can enter my discussion item. I click ok. It now displays my discussion item in a list, and it say (no title). I tried editing it to see if I can change the title, but it still won't let me change the title. Can someone tell me how I can enter a title?

Hi, all,
I talked to the Sharepoint system administrator. Apparently, there was some configuration problem. He fixed it. I'm now able to enter the titles of my discussion items.
