I am in an AD environment with SharePoint Portal 2003 and have had a
complaint about a user loosing changes to a document. They said their
checkout of the document timed out (they worked on it for two hours
and at the end lost their changes).
So here is the question: Is there a time out for set or a place to
set a timeout(it was a WSS site on the portal)?
IT could have also been their connection timed out, their laptop nic
could have shut down, or they may not have checked out the Document,
just opened it.
