Tiff Ifilter

Does anybody have experience using the Tiff Ifilter in SharePoint?
Does it read text etc., from within the Tiff image?
Does it work well?

We are using it and it is working good for us.

To make tiff  image format documents into searchable format u might have
to look into a program like adobe capture.
I had image format pdf files which can be converted into searchable
pdf's using adobe capture 3.0

There is an Ifilter that will full text  index tiff  images. You don't
need capture 3.0...

I Know about iFilter but what is the document is scaned and no OCR is
run on it? How will it read  the words which are not text  but
images?
