Tenure process

Has anyone developed a SharePoint application for managing tenure in the
university environement?

Are you referring to a policy library or just one specific
document? I work for the state of O-H-I-O [football joke] and we have
implemented a simple policy reference out of a doc lib, but also have some lists
that have specific data about them with WF's for approval, sign-off etc.?

I'm talking about a library that holds the documents for the people seeking
tenure, including the submissions, reviews, forms etc. and the workflow that
takes the process  from initial submission to final disposition, including review
by all of the committees, etc.
