System cannot find path specified to Sharepoint files

Asked By: Eugene    Date: Dec 31    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 2903

When I look under IIS' Default Web Site, all my SharePoint
workspaces are stopped, with the error message:

"System cannot find the path specified"

I know they are still there, but don't know how to fix this message.

Can anyone help me??

are you able to see the site  on the browser , if yes then do this
Just stop the default  website and restart it after that refresh it,

I cannot get to the site  with the browser.
When I stop and restart WWW service, it does clear the Stop-signs,
but still does not allow me access

You mean the IIS by meaning the WWW service ?. Well then,
first is to take make your webserver work and then try the Sharepoint
workspace.
second is to tamek sure that the 'Laintranet' source are existing in
C:\Localintranet or whatever the folder name you might have keyed in...

We had that problem, the way out is to open the property of the virtual
directory and redirect it to the location where SPS is installed. it works fine
then.
