I'm curious to know if listing out SSP sync records via:stsadm -o sync
-listolddatabases 0
should show a record for each content database associated with a web
application that belongs to the SSP in question.

For small farms (and small SSPs) I've seen a 1:1 coorelation between sync
records and content databases but for the one large farm that I have access
to, I'm only seeing a small fraction of the databases represented.
