Subscription Notification Emails

Asked By: Katharine Hubbard         Date: Mar 19, 2010      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 158

I have two issues with Subscription Notification emails.

Firstly, I have a folder to which a number of users are subscribed for daily
updates.
These users are lately getting notification emails even if the folder has
not been updated. Is this related to indexing?

Secondly, the URLs in the emails to the updated folder / documents are
sometimes incorrect. Sharepoint seems to be putting a carriage return and
line feed at the end of each URL and therefore when the users, click in the
link they get "the page could not be displayed".
Sample Link :
http://<servername>/<workspacename>/documents/<foldername>/<filename>.jpg/%0
d%0a
<http://<servername>/<workspacename>/documents/<foldername>/<filename>.jpg/%
0d%0a>
Strangely, this is not always the case - which would suggest the problem
doesn't lie in the result.xsl file?

Has anyone experienced these issues before? Any ideas on how to solve them?
