Submit to Portal Area

How can a Reader submit actual documents (not listings to documents)
to a portal area(s) from a WSS site's document library where he is a
site owner of?

There a two (perhaps more) reasons why this is desirable:

1. A WSS site facilitating a project needs to be removed (when the
project is completed) and the resulting final documents need to be
moved to the publication area up in the portal.

2. WSS site users (contributors) could be Readers in portal areas
where they need to submit the actual documents.

Any thoughts on ways to get the actual documents to the areas will be

You would have to set up an area  on the portal, place the library  (or
libraries) in that area and adjust the security settings for that area
to allow Readers to add items. Under the Actions menu there is a
Manage Security link for area security settings.
