Starting Excel Calculation Services

I am configuring MOSS 2007 in a VPC. I am using IE 8. I am trying to
start the services running on the server. When I click on the *Start* link
for Excel Calculation Services, nothing is happening. In the Status bar, it
shows something like "javascript:_doPostBack('')", but nothing happens
absolutely. When I click on *New SSP* link in the Shared Services
Administration, again nothing is happening. Am I missing something here or
is it the problem with IE8 or something else?

If you are on the server you should check that you have added the web
application URL to the Trusted Sites list on the Security tab under Internet
Options in IE.
