SSRS in SharePoint Integrated Mode - WSS Web Application Service is Running

In the MSDN article titled How to: Install a SharePoint Web Front-end on a Report Server Computer, please note the fifth paragraph: "After you install the Web front end and join the report server computer to the farm, you can use SharePoint 3.0 Central Administration to turn off any Web front end features that you do not require."

Can someone please tell me what they mean by the section I underlined above? Does it mean that after I join the report server to the farm I can go into Central Administration and stop the "Windows SharePoint Services Web Application" service from the report server?

Yes, the intent was to convey that you can choose to "stop the "Windows SharePoint services  Web Application" service  " as you rightly asked. Sorry for the confusion.
