SSRS integration with Sharepoint

Asked By: Kavisha    Date: Sep 24    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 884

I have 2 different sharepoint servers.
1) For Testing use only for intranet site( It has sql server 2005 installed with
SSRS add-in)
2) Production Server for internet sites

Now I wanted to publish some reports on internet site of production
server. So should I install sql server separately on production server or I can
use the existing one of test server?

Can you please provide me guidance for this?

Generally, you would want your production database to be separate from your
test database; it's just a good all-around architecture decision.

Now I'm not sure if you want to have a one-server SharePoint farm with your
SSRS running on it as well; I've heard it can be pretty slow (note that I
have no experiential knowledge since I've never tried it that way).
