SSP - Access denied

Asked By: Salina    Date: Jan 06    Category: MOSS    Views: 738

I have just completed a MOSS install, and went through the process of
configuring the SSP. I have created a web app for the SSP and for MySites, and a
App Pool for each as well. After the configuration process was completed, i
performed an IIS reset. When i try to access the SSP admin screen, I get an IIS
access denied. I'm sure I am missing a small step, and would appreciate any
guidance.

Taking a step  back, I started over, and this time i created  a new site
collection first. I'm even having trouble logging into a site collection. Seems
the problem is not related to the SSP creation, but to an access  issue. Any
ideas?

That freakin' loopback thing has left a wake of destruction behind it a
mile wide. It's my go to answer for just about everything these days.

are u access  SSP from the server or client? to access SSP, u need access from
the client.
copy the URL of central administration from the server and paste it to client. u
can access from there.
