SSO in MOSS

Asked By: Tracie    Date: May 16    Category: MOSS    Views: 664

I would like to ask for help regarding single sign-on feature of
SPS2003. I've already configured the enterprise application
integration, set the credentials and the web applications for users
to access, but came to a stop because I don't know how it will
integrate with my applications. Do you guys know how to do it?
Do I have to create a custom web part for my web apps?

Scenario
web  applications in production
1 in Classic ASP
2 in ASP.Net using C#
3 in Java/J2EE
Back-end for 1 and 2 is SQL Server
Sessions are not cross portable from one product to
another
Tasked to design a Single Sign On (SSO) page to link
all 3 web applications
tap the SSO feature  of SharePoint 2007 beta if
necessary

Questions:
1. Track the credentials  using Session variables or
SQL Server tables.
Which one is preferable. ?

2. How do we link web part  pages to invoke Java/J2EE
applications from .aspx page

3. Any other easy method to achieve this SSO without SharePoint

I have never setup SSO in MOSS before and was hoping someone could
point me to a website that outlined the instructions for this setup. I
have seen the Microsoft site with instructions, however, I am getting
lost in the instructions.

This may give you a more straightforward guide (and in any case, it's a
real person doing it in real life):

e-sign-on-setup.aspx
