SPS2001 to SPS2003

I'm trying to do an export of my sps2001 data, but I keep getting the
following error:

There following errors occured while upgrading document management
workspaces.

I can't figure it out and I don't want to have to start from scratch
building a new site.

With the current tools, you can't export 2001 data, only 2001 categories
and content sources, but not the document data.

It sounds like the Upgrade.exe process is failing at some point.
