sps v2 release / quark & sps

what are you guys using? is it a trial version? i
noticed that most of you guys are using sps 2003. im
just starting a potential mini thesis with quark
documents and sps 2001. can anyone suggest a solution
to indexing quark docs for sharepoint? how do you guys
do archival? i really need help as i dont have any
experience on sps. i have a trial sps 2001 here but i
havent installed it on my pc yet.
