sps v1 on win xp pro

is it possible? im doing a school project with sps v1
but i dont have a server to host sps. i want to do all
the development on my pc/notebook.

I recomend that you install a VMware Workstation on your notebook
(You can get free a trial version @ www.vmware.com) Create a new
virtual machine and on this, install Windows 2000 Server and SPS v.1

Use VMware to run a server emulation. You can get a 30 day evaluation from
the site.
