SPS-CMS (CIP) Channel Structure (and other resources)

Asked By: Leroy Burgess         Date: Mar 19, 2003      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 264

Is anyone using the CIP for SharePoint & CMS? Having a hard time finding any code samples or resources on the subject... especially stuff regarding channel structure and infrastructure. I know... CMS channel structure within a SharePoint environment (especially one utilizing shared services and multiple portals & sites) is completely subjective.

I've read where some create channels based on CMS template type, some use them for security/permissions, some as granular to portal/area/site taxonomy.

We aren't planning to use too many of the built in CIP web parts because they are too generic and are sealed so we can mod them.

Opinions?
