SPS 2003 Site Amalgamation

We have 2 Sharepoint Portal 2003 sites one with approx 90 wss sites
and the other with approx 430 wss sites. Is there a way I can move the
smaller portal into the bigger one. the smaller portal is about 6Gb in
size.

You can backup each of the 90 sites and then restore them to the portal with
the 430 sites. As for the portal content on the smaller portal, you'll have
to migrate that yourself.

If I remember correctly, each content database has a suggested size of
20GB or less.
