SPS 2003 Server Farm Configuration

I am an administrator of an SPS 2003 medium server farm with a web , index and
database server. We are thinking about adding another web server to support the
migration of our SharePoint Team Services sites as well as an additional
database server.

Would the addition of these servers take us to a large server farm
configuraiton?

Do all the servers in the farm have to be under the same domain controller or
can the new web server be under a different domain controller?
