SPS 2003

I am a newbie to Sharepoint portal server 2003 and wanted to know
what is the relation between:

Portal Site/Workspace/Areas/Topics/Doc Libraries.

Could someone explain this is simple words

- A Portal site is the top level of SPS.
- An Area is a hierarchical sub-division of a portal.
- A workspace is a type of WSS site with a template specific to either a meeting
or sharing a specific document.
- Topics is a special area that is used to categorize content for browsing.
- Document Libraries are a type of list with functionality tailored toward
sharing/collaborating on multiple documents.
