SPS 2001 Machine migration issue

I am in the midst of migrating to some new hardware and have been
able to restore froma backup to the new machine, yet after doing so
I get the following error under each of the web parts for each sites:

Script Execution Error: Invalid query.

Secondly under the search section I get an error of:

XML Load Error: Invalid at the top level of the document.

I am running SPS 2001 SP1 under Windows 200 Server SP4.

Any ideas on what may be going on and suggestions on what to try to
resolve this issue?
