SPPS and/or MS Dev Env

Asked By: Rusty    Date: Sep 17    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1086

My first issue is this:
Why can't I get the 'Comment Out Selected Text' or 'Comment Out Selected Text'
buttons to work in MS Developer Environment? Even if the file is named with a
.vbs extension or I say <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="VBSCRIPT"> it's still not

My second issue:
Why the heck can't I edit files that are in the _Files folders directly???? I'm
a site coord on SPPS and I have supah dupah privelages on the box itself; I can
delete the entire folder BUT if I want to edit the files in it, I have to copy
them elsewhere, edit them, and then move them back?

Is this this just early adopter growing pains? Has anybody else seen this or
have I been spending too much time in front of my PC?

If you have other items like this post 'em..

Thanks big time  to the person who previously posted info. on this...
You can drop people straight into SP using the IknowledgeFolder object.
providing people are in the domain, you can add them to the workspace (which
by the way is essentially a top-level folder). All you do is check people
are not in the workspace, redim the array, add one, then add the user as
coordinator, reader etc.
If you want more info. and the code mail the group and I'll post.

The code from asp simply uses the IKnowledgeFolder object and then uses the
.coordinators property off that. I will try to send the code tomorrow - it's
VB but will work  in asp of course.

If you could send me the code that would be great. Also i am a student
researching spps  for a student portal, and we are going to login the student
thur a web page and have it take them straight to thier personal portal.
still tring to figure out how im going to do all this. If anyone can help
let me know. I haven't been able to put in to many hours into the research
since i have alot of classes to worry about but if someone can point me in
the right direction i might be able to take it from their.
