Today we started experiencing slow loading on our SPPS 2003 portal. When I
looked at the Event log on the server I found:

reported itself as unhealthy for the following reason: 'Deadlock detected'.

I tried recycling the Application pools but that didn't do anything to
improve things. I did an iisreset and things have improved but I can't find
what is causing the problem. In reviewing the Event log I found several
instances of the same event at 08:15 am and 01:36 am. There doesn't appear
to be anything consistant before the event.

Any ideas?
