We are using Sharepoint portal server 2001

Currently we have a situation here that the client in the m/c where SPPS is
installed is corrupted so that we can give the access riight to users to
different folders.we are getting the following error message
"The client components are installed automatically with the server .You cannot
install,repair or uninstall them seperatly to repar them run SPPS 2001 repair"

Do you guys have any Idea to go about in this situation.
