I created a SPJobDefinition following the guidelines on the blog of
Andrew OConnell

Wat annoys me a bit is that you have to define the schedule in code
in the FeatureActivated event. For testing you need a 10-minutes
schedule but for production you need a weekly schedule. So I
developed a sharepoint page - specific for that job definition -
where my customer can choose which schedule to apply and when it
should run.

My question now is: can I make such a page general? Is there a way
f.e. in the feature definition where I can detect that the installed
feature contains a job definnition assembly? (I can not derive it
from WebApplications.JobDefintions because it is not yet in that
collection because the FeatureActivated code - as explained in the
blog of Andrew - has been removed).

Can you please give it a thought?

I would code  the job  to look in the farm property bag for configuration
information (such as the execution interval) and then code the page  to
update that property.
