Spell Check Problems

Asked By: Jesse    Date: Dec 28    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1228

We have content contributors for subsites on our intranet that want to
use the spell checker. It looks like there is a problem and the only
way that spell checked will work is if a 'SpellChecker' group is
created in the top level site and all the content contributors are
placed in this site.

The issue here is that this 'Spell Check' group needs to be given
contributer access (to the top level site) which also means that these
users have access to update and delete top level content. This is
something we don't want to allow these users to do.

Does anyone know if there is a way around this. The workaround given by
Microsoft just gives these content contributers too much access.

The microsoft article that discusses this is
