Special macros in lists

Asked By: Rohit    Date: Nov 17    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 863

Just wondering if anyone knows of a special trick or value you can use
in a view to filter information based on date. I'm looking to be able to
populate a list with only entries added in the last week. In the help
section on filtering a view there's the entry:

You can use [Today] to filters on a column that contains dates for the
current date

This is great, but I can't see how to do something like [Today] - 7 (SPS
doesn't like that). Does anyone know how to get something like this to
work?

We are looking to perform the following with Sharepoint 2.0:

- Notify users when a site is updated (i.e. we update a document site
and want to send a global notification, similar to an alert)
- Create a Legal or Contract management template (similar to that of
immanage).
- Storing Personal Searches on documents
- Smart tagging using documents stored in the database (User creates a
document and wants to use smart tagging to pull a document stored in the
sharepoint database)
