SPD: display a parameter value

  Asked By: Cameron    Date: May 07    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 3031

Hopefully this is a really simple question and I'm just missing something.
In SharePoint Designer, how can I display (e.g. in a label) the current
value of a parameter that I'm using to filter a DataView?

Short answer: variables and parameter  can be accessed by adding a $ sign to
their name.

e.g.

<xsl:value-of select=$ParameterName />

Long answer:

Depends on what you are trying to accomplish.

Yeah, I was puzzling over how to get them into the code outside the xsl
dataview. I decided just to piggyback on the header template instead.
