Using SPCalendarNavigator

Asked By: Alyssa    Date: Jun 27    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 2257

I have a client that wants to put the SPCalendarNavigator (displays the calendar in the quickLaunch) on the main page of their site collections without having the full calendar on the page. Does anyone know anyway to use SPCalendarNavigator with a calendar list / Web Part that resides on a different page? I know we could code this up using the ASP.NET Calendar control however, we are hoping to save some time by leveraging OOB functionality. Also, does anyone have any general info on how the SPCalendarNavigator is connected to a calendar list? The SDK is pretty light on this topic and nothing jumped out at me on the default calendar pages so I am starting to think it is enumerating the controls collection at this point, but hoping it is configurable with a URL.

I would love to hear what you discovered. I enjoy spelunking these
things but just don't get to try them all.
