SP List URL Field Limit

Is there any way to adjust the amount of characters that the URL field will
accept? I have a rather long URL that gets cut off when trying to add it to a SP
List.

That's a limitation of the HTTP GET request, not something that SharePoint
can adjust.

What are you trying to accomplish here?

While GET has some limitations, I believe SharePoint has its own more severe
ones. See
