SoapContext missing in custom SharePoint web service

Asked By: Edmond    Date: Feb 15    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 15679

I have created a web service which uses WSE and DIME to return a file
as an attachment. The service creates a DIME attachment and attaches
it to the ResponseSoapContext.Current. When I turn this service into a
custom SharePoint service using the method described in the MSDN
article "Writing Custom Web Services for SharePoint Products and
Technologies" both the RequestSoapContext.Current and
ResponseSoapContext.Current are null and I have nothing to attach my
DIME attachment to.

Is there something special I need to do to SharePoint because of WSE or
am I missing a configuration setting somewhere?
