I will be installing sharepoint 2007 for small server farm and
allowing External access in the future. What kind of accounts I should
to set up, can someone help me?

I would use SQL Server and forms authentication for the outside user for the
extranet.

At a minimum you should define one account  that will serve as a primary
service account (Your farm  Account), one account used to crawl content
(Your Crawl Account), and one account which will be an application pool
identity for your sharepoint  site(s) (AppPool Account).

Conventionally, I made the following accounts:
(1)mfacct
(2)mcacct
(3)mpacct
