Sites Customization

I would like to customize the default Sites page (the sites tab at the
top) to list all of the sites created. It currently lists them by
Division or Region out of the box but this doesn't fit our company.

Has anyone customized this page? How do I go about doing it?

Should be able to select customize list from the left hand nav pane.
This is nothing more then a list so you can modify the columns to fit
your need.
