My Sites Assistance

Asked By: Marlin    Date: Aug 18    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 611

I have a situation that I cannot seem to resolve with folks and their My Site. Some how, when a user requests a My Site and the area is built automatically, the My Calendar web part is already pre-populated with my MS Exchange access details. I have no idea how this happened, but I cannot find a way to fix the problem. I certainly would like to avoid a reload of the original core files, but I would appreciate any assistance or direction you all might be able to provide.

You probably need to reghost the default.aspx page of the SPS My Site. A
Web Designer or Administrator has customized/saved the page using
FrontPage locking the properties of the My Calendar Web Part. Use
Maurice Prather's GhostHunter in the WebPartToolkit to verify and
reghost.

Is it possible that you set the calendar  preferences while in Shared
View of the page? Doing any changes to your My Site while in Shared
View and logged in as an admin will affect all My Sites.

Thank you, that was exactly the problem. You saved me a lot of hunting around.
